Accomplishments


The Boyz Are Back Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, faith-based organization in Winston-Salem/Forsyth County, North Carolina.  We are dedicated to facilitating the academic, physical, and spiritual development of youth.

2007

  • Held the Education and Sports Clinic.
  • Organized the 55 Turkey Drive to provide turkeys for Thanksgiving dinners for Family Services' clients in collaboration with Angelo Crowell (Buffalo Bills #55) and Wild Wing Cafe.
  • Made a wish come true through a golf outing with Make A Wish Foundation.
  • Donated 55 bicycles to children served by Family Services (Battered Women's Shelter) and youth associated with The Boyz Are Back, Salvation Army, and Eve's Home Care Service in collaboration with the Crows Nest Fan Club (Angelo Crowell).

2006

  • Organized family/life skills training for mentors and parents through the Christian Outreach Center.
  • Received over 100 tickets from NBA team Charlotte Bobcats.

2005

  • Secured funding for after school tutoring programs from Wal-Mart and Sam's Club.
  • Received over 50 tickets from NBA team Charlotte Bobcats.

2004

  • Received a grant from the NFL Youth Football Fund (YFF) for The Crowell Camp: Education & Sports Clinic. (June)
  • Held the second annual Education & Sports Clinic at Forsyth Country Day School in Lewisville, NC; media coverage of the event included television, newspaper, and internet.
2003
  • Secured in-kind donations and camper sponsorships needed to fund a football camp with life skills training. (January to June)
  • Held the first annual Education & Sports Clinic at Forsyth Country Day School in Lewisville, NC with 98 youth in attendance.  (June)
  • Began school-year-round mentoring of youth who attended the June clinic; all 98 youth decided to continue with this optional component of the program. (September) 

2002
  •  Obtained 501(c)(3) status as a tax-exempt, non-profit organization. (April)
